Visit to Vietnam Garment Factory in December 2025

HOA THO HOI AN GARMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY

In December 2025, we visited one of our Group’s suppliers, a Vietnamese garment factory (HOA THO HOI AN GARMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY), to assess its sustainability initiatives.
In accordance with our Basic Policy, we confirmed the following items and found no significant violations concerning compliance with laws and regulations, respect for human rights, occupational health and safety, and environmental conservation. The main points confirmed are as follows.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

The site director is responsible for the overall management of legal compliance, while the human resource (HR) department is tasked with ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) and labor-related laws and regulations in day-to-day operations.
Quarterly internal audits are conducted by the audit team of the parent company, and an annual management review meeting is held to ensure overall compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Respect for Human Rights, Working Conditions, Wages, etc.

A comprehensive set of policies on human rights, labor, and occupational health and safety has been established and communicated to employees through postings, bulletin boards, and training programs. Employee interviews confirmed an adequate understanding of these policies and rules.
All employees are directly employed by the company. Employment contracts clearly stipulate working conditions, remuneration, and benefits.
Recruitment is conducted directly without the use of employment agencies. To prevent child labor, the company verifies age at the same time as checking experience and qualifications.
A grievance mechanism is in place, enabling employees to raise concerns or complaints. Employee interviews confirmed that employees are aware of the mechanism and understand how to express concerns.
Union meetings involving the union executive committee are held monthly, and an annual employee meeting is also organized.

Occupational Health and Safety

A health and safety policy has been established and communicated to employees through various training programs.
No work-related accidents have been recorded in the past three years.
Health checkups are conducted for all employees every six months. The most recent results confirmed that no specific recommendations or actions were required for the facility.
Annual workplace environment monitoring is conducted, and the latest results confirm compliance with applicable standards, with no complaints or concerns reported from employees.
Employees are provided with an adequate supply of drinking water. Water is treated before use, and water quality testing in 2024 and 2025 confirmed compliance with applicable standards for drinking and cooking water.
An employee cafeteria is provided on-site, offering meals to employees free of charge.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided to employees based on risks identified during operations. In addition to uniforms for all employees, metal gloves are provided to employees handling cutting machinery, while maintenance staff receive electrical-insulation boots and gloves, as well as earplugs.
A rest room is available for employees to use during breaks or when feeling unwell, and a nurse is stationed on-site to provide health consultations and first aid.

Environment

An environmental policy has been established and communicated to employees through annual training.
One particularly notable initiative is that the company is advancing safety- and environment-conscious capital investments, including electric boilers and rooftop solar power installation (planned).
Over the past three years, no environmental accidents or incidents have been recorded, and no signs of soil or groundwater contamination have been identified.
